Saturday John and Carolyn hopped a jet from Kansas City to Atlanta, picked up their rental car, and arrived on our mountain around 3 pm.  Before they got here I told Cliff we needed to get lots of pictures doing things together so I could post them.  Taking pictures has never been on his mind.  I have to ask him to take them of me doing things so I can post which is why you never see me on my posts.  Saturday afternoon and evening were spent sitting on the back porch relaxing and enjoying the calm.  Sunday we took them to the Ocoee Gorge to watch the kayaks and rafts navigate the rapids.  From there Cliff drove us to Hawg Wild in Hiawasee, GA for Fathers Day lunch.  Hawg Wild has the best bar-b-que.  The manager told us there would be a thirty-minute wait which was expected on Fathers Day. We had feeling it would be longer upon seeing lots of empty booths and tables and very few servers.  About an hour later we were seated.  Our server apologized and told us that the night before many of the staff up and quit.  There were only two people cooking in the kitchen and a handful of servers to wait tables.  We were okay with that and had a great time just being together.  Then back to the porch with our feet up with cheese and wine.  Late Monday morning Carolyn wanted to see our Casino.  Cliff and I haven't been back there since it first opened so to the Casino we headed.  Carolina found the penny slots to play and I sat with John on the nickel poker slots.  Of course so far there were no pictures taken because nobody remembered to pull out the cell phones.  John gave me some good tips about how and what to bet so my $5 lasted longer than I expected.  He had me in stitches and when we were ready to go, I cashed out and walked away with $2.62 out of $5.  Lunch was at Parson's Pub and then we headed to what we thought was the only local winery near us that was open on a Monday.  We were wrong.  The website had not been updated and the tasting times changed to only Friday and Saturday.  Later on the porch Cliff grilled burgers.  Charlie and Nikki, neighbors who are in John and Caroline's age group, walked down to joined us.

Of course, there are no pictures of me.
Ah!  Here's one with me just before their departure.

They left this morning for Murrells Inlet in the Myrtle Beach area for their two days stay with Mark and Kathy.  It was a wonderful Fathers Day visit.
