 Life just threw in some more detours for me to navigate around.  Last Monday I brought the Kia to Ground to Graphics for the right front bumper repair appointment.  No problem because I have the truck. It has no backup camera because it's a 2002 and I'm spoiled by the backup camera in the Kia.  Whenever I do take the truck, I drive without a radio to listen to and go back to basics of using the rear view and side mirrors.  Good for the brain.  Wednesday morning the trusty truck began shaking and rattling at 50-55 mph so I just slowed down to 45 but my heart didn't.  Thursday I drove it into town slowly just to pick up what I needed and drove home.  When I called Mark he advised me to get it checked out because it could be serious.  This morning at 7:45 I was at the Kia dealer to see if it could be checked  just to see what the problem was but they were so booked  that I couldn't be squeezed in.  So I have an appointment early next Wednesday morning.  So now the truck sits in the garage waiting for Wednesday to come and the Kia may be finished next Wednesday.  I'll be picking up my rental early this afternoon.  It's rented for a week because I don't really know how things will go next week.

On a good note, the weather has been lovely.  A cold front is bringing cold nights again and days will be chillier than the lovely days we've had.  But the sun is warmer and days are longer.  Spring is coming.  Next week thunderstorms are predicted.  Another sign of spring approaching.  Daffodils are up.  Some trees have little buds and birds sing louder and earlier in the morning.  I bought a fig tree to plant and it's already got three leaves and it's still in the house in the box.


 Maybe next week I'll be picking figs....................

 I may repeat things I've already posted.  It's not due to age. I'm too lazy to go back and  reread what I blogged previously.   I've joined the Murphy Health and Fitness gym that's located right across from Konhete Park where I walk so I can swim now too.  I didn't realize how much I missed being in the water.  The other gym, Erlanger Fit Plus membership runs out in September.  Cliff and I belonged to it since moving here and it has a great rehab program that both of us have used at different times.  One time I asked a therapist about knee discomfort/pain and he showed me ways to strengthen quads and leg muscles to prevent knee weakness.  Cliff did PT a few times for back discomfort due to belly pulling on his back muscles.  After the PT a patient get a free month at the gym.  We did Zumba and yoga classes together.  But now I need to swim.  Pool is heated when the temperatures cool down.   Our mornings have bee...

 The driveway snow and ice seemed as if it was softening and melting at a pretty good rate and I had been storing trash bags in the Toyota for two weeks. Today there were five bags and I thought I'd take the truck out to the transfer station to toss bags, plastics, and wine bottles.  When backing out I guess I backed out a little too far out and got hung up on a patch of ice. So dropped back a little more, turned the front wheels at a different angle and slowly trying not to spin thought I could catch the wheels on gravel.  I tried putting it into four-wheel drive.  Cliff told me years ago how to do it, but like anything that I don't do often, it was erased from my memory.  That one wheel found the ice and and just kept spinning.  My neighbor further up the road,who is a retired South Florida firefighter and now a volunteer for Bellview St. 17, came to my rescue.  He showed me how to put it into four-wheel drive then offered to take all my trash becaus...

 My laptop was down again............... I finally got Cliff's Davis Vantage Vue weather station up and running.  The Weather suite is now communicating with the wall console.  I found his collection of instructions, quick set-up guides, and manuals all neatly placed in a large plastic sleeve.  This afternoon I called tech support to get help on the last bit of instruction that I couldn't figure out.  The tech was so understanding and went through the last steps I needed to do to get the station console communicating with the outside suite.  Now that it's working, it makes complete sense to me about what I needed to do.  I was so happy that after I thanked him and hung up, I cried.  I felt my connection to Cliff through his technology love.  Now I can watch the wind speed and note the rainfall and feel him here.   A few weeks ago I joined the Murphy gym because they have  pool and I really miss swimming.  It's been difficult to...
