I began this post back on June 15.......
Life can certainly change quickly throwing us into a spin in just a a split second. We go along in our comfortable daily routines taking it all for granted until an anvil drops landing on our head.......Roadrunner cartoons.
This past Saturday, June 13, my friend Janice got up around 5 am to use her bathroom, has no memory of her fall but only the memory of waking up in Mission hospital in Asheville with a broken femur bone. After emergency surgery to place a rod in her femur she began her painful healing process. After three weeks in rehab she is happily back home. During this time I had her energetic two-year old pup living with me. Years ago Cliff made a gate to keep Maxine on the porch when evening came and she wasn't allowed to roam. That gate has been stored in the crawl space for about ten years. Charlie brought it up for me to keep Lilly on the porch while Janice recovered in rehab.
Lilly finishing up her yoga practice with me in her resting savasana pose.In the evening waiting for me to settle in the recliner so she could sleep n my lap.
All the toys she had in the house, she found a red cover to a plastic water container to chase around the floors. She shook it wildly and chased it as it slid on the hardwood floor like a child who would rather sit and play in an empty cardboard box.
Friday night we girls went out to eat and sent pictures to Janice sharing our meals and wine.
Lynn and Libby sharing their tiramasu dessert with Janice. She's home now and we will be bringing Fourth of July foods to her house Saturday. All she has to do is eat and enjoy and we'll take care of the clean up.
Our newest addition.
It's uncomfortably hot this week. Plants need a good soaking rain. They are beginning to look weary. Last two days I got about 1/4 of an inch of rain which helped until the heat of the next day wilted everything again. I still have five potted plants that need to go in the ground but too hot to work outside.
Since the middle of June I've been subbing four days each week between Pilates and Yoga classes. Yoga instructor is out with the flu and so weary she has no energy yet to return. Pilates instructor has returned to her class. And still taking the water aerobics Tuesday & Thursday 9 a.m. classes. It beats vacuuming!
