 Just recently I renewed my driver's license online.  That made me happy! Skip the trip to the DMV! It can be done only once but that's okay.  It was easy and it's done!

About five years ago I notice the top rack in my Bosch dishwasher was starting to decay.  I ignored it because that's what I do sometimes when I don't want to tackle an issue.  Time went on.  One day I called Bosch and was emailed the replacement parts site but couldn't figure out which part it was so once again I ignored it

Then Cliff was ill and I quit handling unimportant issues.  A few weeks ago I brought up the site again and still couldn't understand how to find the order part number.  Charlie figured it out and helped me order the whole upper drawer.  Shipping cost almost as much as the replacement part.  Today FedEx brought the new upper drawer.  I had to remove some parts from the decayed drawer and attach them correctly to the new one without causing finger and hand pain.  The pieces were very securely attached but I did it!  



My mechanics work!  Parts attached and drawer fitted onto the rollers. 


And it actually rolls in and out as it's meant to. 

So now I'll need to get a repair person in to replace this piece of cord that helps control and hold the door from scraping my shins when it opens.

 When I woke this morning a little after five, very rested, no head talk in the night, I wondered how to fill my morning since it was too rainy, damp, dark, dank to walk in town. Going near any store was not an option and we are under a weather alert for high winds with possible 30-40 mph gusts that could down limbs and branches.  I did 30 minutes yoga live with Hannah then while eating my oatmeal breakfast Michael texted me that he needed a childhood picture of himself for his accounting firm.  They want to update the employee bios with childhood photos.  Hmmm...........that's a challenging task.  I pulled out all the boxes from the bathroom closet, brought them to the living room where I would have plenty of room to sort and go through albums.  Looks like those boxes hadn't been move in quite some time.  The large roach hotel was dated back to April of this year and it was time to vacuum up the dead debris behind the boxes.  I actually moved everything off the floor and clean

 Another gorgeous Autumn day with a mostly sunny sky and temperature around 70.  I've been outside most of the day pulling old dead flower stalks and piling them in the woods.  The garden is almost cleared of tired dead debris and now has a nice blanket of dried falling leaves to decay as nature intended. House plants are still outside and when the weather drops to thirties I pull them all close to the house at night.  Many herbs still thrive.  I still use fresh parsley, mint, Italian oregano, rosemary and a few others.  I placed hay around them as they will stay out all winter.   The blogging stopped because for some unknown reason my iPhone pictures won't upload to this computer.  Also tried to print my Christmas card design but the scanner icon on this computer is gone and I can't find it anywhere. So, can't scan, can't send pictures to blog and it's frustrating.  I tried to think what Cliff would do but I don't understand techie issues. Mentally trying t

I am of the nature to grow old.  There is no way to escape growing old. Bummer!!! Along side other spiritual passages posted on my refrigerator door, are the Five Remembrances that help me in the present............. the now.  Those words help keep me grounded some days.  I have a tendency to overdo, to tackle more than I should.  My father's words echo in my brain.  "Your eyes are bigger than your stomach."  As a child my mother called me a butterfly as I quickly flitted from one flower to the next enjoying the flight without a care in the world.  At my last monthly visit with my massage therapist, one of my indulgences since retiring, she reminded me, with all due respect as she worked my aching shoulder, that I wasn't a spring chicken anymore.  She's allowed
