Two hummingbird feeders are out waiting for the first sighting.  One in my view on the back porch and the other at my kitchen window.  Kitchen window feeder was hung Monday in case there were any travelers and back porch was hung this morning.  Last year was the earlier sighting in all my 17 years here.  A male arrived and sat at the feeder drinking on April 2, our anniversary.

Thunderstorms are predicted for Sunday afternoon through Monday morning.  Maybe the storm will carry a few hummingbirds to Murphy.  We're very dry and really need the rain.  I'm not in the fire areas.  It's very dry here but luckily no fires.

Thursday I went to a wedding in Andrews for my friend MaryAnne's daughter, Erica.  MaryAnne and Dick are the the friends who live out in the boonies in Robbinsville and drive to the gym in Murphy three days a week.  He's 89 and she's 87.  He looks 89 but she looks and acts like she's in her 70's.  They have three daughters who live in Buffalo and want them to move back to be closer but there is no way they would ever go back.  Erica and her new husband. Rob, love this area and plan to move here by summer.

The dog was in the wedding walking down the aisle on her leash.  St. Andrews in the Mountains Church is a lovely small church with a very welcoming warm congregation.  I went with my friend, Kate, from yoga.  It was so uplifting to go to this wedding.  The day was sunny and Kate and I wore earrings, jeans and jazzy blouses.  It's been a long time since attending a wedding or such a happy event.  Life is different now and I savor gatherings with people I'm comfortable with and happy events.
