Barb titled this pic of Cliff waiting for his new Generac to cycle for the first time..........
man not waiting for a woman!

I know you'll be surprised to read that he stood out in the hot humid air all day watching the installation of his new toy.  The land at north end of our house where all the electrical hook-up happened is a steep slant.  This is where Cliff stood talking to the installers.  The next day he complained that his hips were killing him and his neck was stiff.  You think!?!

The garden is dry.  I've used all the rain barrel water to wet the cucumbers and tomatoes.  Actually, the plants are weary and have slowed their production, except for the gourds, which grow like weeds.
They just meander all over the acreage where ever they want, climbing on other plants, up the cucumber trellis and into the woods.  I love these plants.  They're free spirits with no confines wandering happily through life.........until the first freeze.
Found nasturtiums thriving in the brambles of weeds and parsley.

Karen and Bob Swain have been staying at the KOA campground not far from where the new Harrah's Casino is being built in Murphy.  Barb and Mike used their passports to travel across the Georgia state line into North Carolina while the Swains were here.  We've eaten Mexican at Monte Alban, slow cooked chicken and veggies on our back porch, a home cooked dinner with stuffed mushroom hors d'oeuvres at Barb and Mike's with hot fudge sundaes to celebrate National Hot Fudge Sundae Sunday, and Japanese hibachi at the Tin Loong.  We tried to honor as many nationalities as we could in the week Karen and Bob were here.
Our chef was a pyromaniac.  Normally this is what you see on the grill.
He had most of the grill in flames.
                                             The onion volcano.
He served everyone a large portion of fried rice until he got to Cliff

Our chef was quite entertaining.  The hibachi is best with friends.
