A few mornings ago when working in the lower garden, I heard baby bluebirds peeping and squeaking from one of the houses.  We weren't sure if there were any eggs babies.  Off and on during the day I would notice an adult sit on the roof or perch on a garden post before flying in.  This is the first year we've heard the babies.  Other years something always happened and the eggs didn't hatch.  Also, we're watching the geranium window box.  A couple days ago when there had been no sign of birds going in and out I pulled the box down, peeked in to see five eggs and carefully slide the box back on its shelf. Yesterday I slowly poured water into the edges of the box and frightened mother out.  So she's still sitting.

Wisteria full of bumblebees.............

Tuesday Cliff began his new four-hour long chemo regimen with a pump attached for 48 hours that continued a second chemo. As the day went on he felt worse and spent the day restless, napping and just lying around in misery.  His throat felt like it had razor blades and he ached.  Sleep was not restful but  Wednesday morning he began to feel a little better and asked for scrambled eggs for breakfast.  For lunch I made him shredded chicken breast, leftover from a crockpot meal, with a light gravy and Basmati rice.  He enjoyed that.  Good sign.  This morning we went to the clinic for the pump removal and to have a Neulasta patch applied that helps reduce the chance of infection. He's still doing better than we both expected with this chemo. He figures it'll change as the chemo builds up in his body.  When we went to Home Depot he did pretty good walking around the store.  I'm driving everywhere until he feels ready to be back behind the wheel.  Yesterday we did a slow stroll up our road and back again.  He was quite pleased with being able to walk.

Last Friday Peter and James came to spend the weekend with us.

This is the best pic I have because somehow the other pictures I took got deleted when I forwarded them from Cliff's phone to my phone.  Not only that, he doesn't have them in his phone anymore either.  We've checked the cloud and emails and every other place they could be but they're gone, floating around in the black hole!
