More shots

More beautiful farmland as we rode through PA and NY.
Interesting how the rolls of hay are encased in white tarps. Miles and miles of mountains in the background.
Some of these may be in VA..............

Driving east into the sunrise.
My sister's backyard.....the martin house is really a 5-star bird condo. There are no martins but a variety of other birds make their home here each spring.

Retta and Vic are both retired now and are doing house projects that we all put aside when our kids are young and involved in school/sports and we're too tired to do when working full-time.
It was good to spend time with family, even though it was a short visit. The years go by quickly and life holds many changes that we have to adapt to. We were also fortunate to have good friends take the time to drive up from FL to stay at our house in the mountains and care for Max.

Having our windshield replaced this morning after a boulder got kicked up and smashed the right corner while traveling to MA. By the time we arrived back home, the crack had extended another 8 inches into the drive side.

Almost came home from VA with an adorable rooster, but instead only brought 2 dozen nice fresh eggs from Lauria and Jim's chickens. I'm thinking that's my next project......to build a coop and purchase a few chickens so we can have fresh eggs.
